Mossberg and sons , 410 bolt action , Model 183D-B
This is an older bolt action(50s?) but in seldom fired condition. I like to use all my guys at least once during the hunting season and today was this ones turn.
The issue I have with It is it doesn't always fire the shell, might be the first one might be the third. Today I missed a rabbit sitting at 20' because the first shell didn't fire. It's like the rabbit knew, let me try 3 times one that shell as soon as I chambered another shell he bolted and I missed.
The primer looks dented as much as the non fired shell as a fired shell. I was thinking it might be bummed up a bit or a weak spring?
Just baffles me why the primer looks well dented. It does it with 23/4" or 3" shells.
I'll post a picture of the shell in a bit.
