Mission 300M F-Class, TR ISSF shoot Apr 18th

Man that was a lot of fun!

Good to meet all you people, although I am not sure who I met in Mission is which person here on CGN!!!

Fantastic match... what a turnout!

A great match indeed.

F-Open was a 3way tie for first with 450.41X (3 15 round strings on X/10 UIT targets). Tie was broken with a countback, Myself, Obtunded and Dennis Lapierre with Obtunded taking 3rd, Dennis 2nd and Myself 1st place. The deciding shot was the second to last shot of the day which made for a very exciting round of target pulling in the butts. At least it was exciting for Dennis and myself....LOL

Obtunded did shoot the only Perfect 150.15x of the day and did considerably well considering his scope wouldn't adjust low enough to aim bull and had to use another part of the target as his aiming point. Way to go Ian. Had his scope adjusted to where it should have, I think he would have had 450.45x.

It was a full house down in Mission (41 shooters) and Dave and his family did a great job putting it on. Dave even gave up his slot for a new shooter who showed up at the last minute, and had never shot a match before, which was great to see.

This was my first time there and I had a good time...I will definitely be going down again.

Sean, don't get discouraged......you've only been at it a short time and your shooting against a bunch of guys who have been doing it for years....your time will come... :D ... besides, this was your first official match.

Yes, it was alot of fun and I enjoyed our chin-wag today while marking targets. The weather couldn't have been nicer.

The next match on May 2/3 will also be alot of fun; unfortunately, I cannot make that one.

Well done everyone!!! Particular congrats to Richard "no-snotty-eggs-uncut-white-toast-no-relish-and-Poupon-not-yellow-mustard" CyaN1de.

Losing to a count-back sucked, but it's the story of my life!!!! It was just thrilling to be able to run with the likes of CyaN1de and Denis L., but the shrieks of hysterical laughter from the butts when I shot a "10" in the second to last frame was like a lightening bolt from the heavens! Even I had to laugh! I was thrilled I did as well as I did using the #"9" as my aiming point... made the hold-offs very challenging! (note to self: leave the 20MOA taper off for a 300 yard match)

It was awesome to see so many new shooters out there and to meet so many folks i have just "read".

Cheers,

Ian

Yes, Sean a.k.a "Newinwestsyde" you have done amazingly well with what you are using. We have already discussed where and who your advice went astray. As we have proven, you have the beginnings of great skills...For the next F-Class match, you can use one of my guns buddy. Hang in there.
