Folks;

Just a reminder that our 300 yd ISSF Club Championship shoot is fast approaching (Sunday April 17).

Categories include: F-Class (Open, FTR, Bench and Sporter) and Target Rifle.

Course of fire: 3 relays of 2 convertible sighting shoots followed by 15 rounds on score (Sporter category will shoot 3 relays of 2 ss and 10 for score). One non-convertible blow off shot will also be allowed prior to the first relay only.

ICFRA rules apply. No magnums or muzzle brakes permitted.

Match briefing will be at 0830 hours.

Entry forms can be found on the BCRA website and the Mission & District Rod & Gun Club website (go to the Calender section on the website and a link for the entry form is located on the April 17 date).

This one-day event is the first of our local shooting season and is a great opportunity for new shooters to get started. New shooters are always welcome!

I'm fairly new to this sport and this will be my first competition. I'm unsure of which category I should join.

I have a Remington 700 in .223.

Assuming you are talking F-Class; if you have a factory rifle and its' total weight (rifle, scope, mounts and bipod) are less than 12 lbs, consider the Factory Category that we have in this shoot. Come out, have some fun and learn lots.

Just wanted to say thanks to everyone that made this possible. I'm very new to this kind of shooting and this was my first competition and I had a blast today!

Look forward to it again next year!

This was a great day out but some odd weather - some frost, some wind, some sun and some snow LOL! Real nice to catch up with some old faces and meet some new ones. Thanks to Match Director, Range Officers and everyone else who contributed to putting on such a good event.

To echo the previous post a big THANKS to the match directors and RO for organizing. Great group of people shooting, great talking with all and thank to all for showing me around, and passing on some awesome shooting knowledge.

If anyone reading this thread is thinking of try out F-class for the first time. Do it! You'll never meet a more passionate bunch and you won't regret it.

Here are some photos of the competition:

I heard that there were a few phantom gusts of wind that showed up every now and then.

I'm glad the match went well and I wish I could have attended!

Glad to hear that everyone had fun and very nice to see a crowd of new shooters hold their own. I have submitted the match results to the BCRA webmaster for posting to the BCRA website. Stay tuned.....
