Left handed 1911 shooters (like my wife) will appreciate this.
I just fitted a Mitchell right side mag release to one of her Ruger SR1911's. Drop in fit and works like a hot damn with all mags we've tried. Very slick and well made.
Not cheap at $150 a pop, but any lefty will feel the benefit immediately.
I liked it so well, I installed the second unit in one of my 1911's! I'm frequently cautioned about my finger curling into the trigger guard during IPSC reloads. With the extended left side mag releases I've used, I have to shift the gun in my hand, losing my shooting grip on the gun.
Using the Mitchell in practice, I barely have to shift my shooting grip to hit the right side release and I immediately position it on the end of the slide stop pin. Now I just have to build the muscle memory to adapt to it.
