Mitchell's Mausers

I saw an ad in a gun rag. Claims to be authentic k-98 Mauser from WWII. Is this for real? Has anybody seen or better yet, shot these things?

Any comments? Price is right, but I also know that you get what you pay for.

i bet if you emailed them they have that ss marked k98 that Hitler shot a deer a moose and a bear with 1 shot in 3 different directions also signed by stalin with the photo taken by himmler

They're Russian Capture K-98. From what I hear they're going to be in rough shape, missing cleaning rods, forced matching, electro-pencil S/N, etc... I'm sure Mitchell's will "remanufacture" and clean them up considerably, but they'll always be more shooters than collectors.

Mitchell's Mauser's is an abomination just like Globco. Destroying history, one bubba'd rifle at a time.

A number of US websites comment very unfavourably upon MM. They have great looking, glossy ads but the rifles are apparently really quite sub-par.
