Took my brand new MkIII hunter on her first shoot yesterday. Ran lots of different ammo through it.

I started with AE and had FTF every 2-3 rounds.. not the best start.
Moved on to CCI stingers- 0 ftf's, huge muzzle flash and accurate
Gun also liked Federal champs- with out the flash or big bang of the cci's

I was just wondering what others with Mkii/III's are using and having success with? Overall I am very pleased with this being my first .22 handgun.

Keep trying different brands. As with any .22, you have to try a box of as many brands as you can to find the ammo that both shoots well and cycles the action. The price of said ammo means nothing. No need to shoot the whole box.
Stingers and all the other hyper-velocity brands are for hunting. None of 'em will hurt your pistol, despite what you sometimes see on the Internet. Kind of pricey though.

Yeah, I did buy a bunch of boxes- CCI's being the favorite so far. Cycling was not a problem, FTF was. I will keep on trying different ones till I find the "one".

Just got back from BPS with a few more selections, hope to go shooting in the next day or two.

CCI's Stingers were my fav for accuracy and reliablity, but for plinking or taking out noobies I'd just use a Federal 525 pack with good success. Look into a Ultimate Clip Loader for the MKIII. Greatest thing ever when you have 5 magazines. Teach a friend how to use it and you can keep getting fresh magazines before you can shoot through all your mags.

Thanks, Scotty. That cliploader looks awesome.

Anyone know where to get one? (preferably Canada, Canada Ammo lists it but out of stk.)

I've been shooting Winchester Expert HV HP. 500 round bulk packs are 21.99 at CT and there are no issues with feeding at all. I try to stay way from the 333 ammo though....
