Ok so heres the deal. I was an army cadet and did it from 12-18. It had a huge impact on my life mainly because of one officer. He was the commanding officer when i started and became my rifle coach for the air rifle program which saw me go to the national level twice and still am the only to do so to this day (I 24 now) all because of his mentoring.
He just reacently got promoted to Major and now oversees northern ontario cadet corps. Its a title long over due for him and i thought of gift for him. So I figured that a lee enfield rifle would do. We paraded with #7's in our flag party, couldnt find any but i found a mk4 no2 which is good enough and gave it a face lift. Let me know what you guys think. Im new to posting herd if it dont work lemme know. Dont know if this link allows you to browse the album. Im doing all this from my phone is not sure how it appears on your computer.

The pic is a bit blurry but have you put any thought to a plaque? Depending on the history of this particular rifle I would still refrain from engraving on it but something to hold it as it rests on a mantle or in a large (old style) gun cabinet? I have seen some impressive displays that I will post if u wanted to go that route. But The rifle itself looks good from what I can see(no bore or close ups) and would mean something im sure.

I'm sorry to correct you, but don't you mean a No.4 Mk2 rifle?

In any case, I'm sure he will be greatly touched to receive such a gift.
