MKA 1919 Match gen 2 - Heavy Load Gas Ring

Hello all,

Finally going out to shoot my MKA 1919 Gen 2. I went place the heavy load gas ring and I plan on firing slugs through it, but it was extremely difficult to put in place...almost like it doesn't quite fit. The light load gas ring slides off and on effortlessly, but the heave load only goes on the shaft like half inch, if that. Is it supposed to require "force" to put on to the point of requiring tools?

Additionally, if I fire slugs through with the light load gas ring, what can I expect?...should I not?

Can’t answer your question about the heavy gas ring but I’ve fired hundreds(2-300) of slugs through my derya match without issue with the light ring installed.

I have had no issues firing 2.75 slugs nor 00 Buck nor 7.5s or 8s thru mine with the only light gas ring ..... I dont change them out.....

Thanks for the replies. I will leave the light load ring in for now and contact Tactical Imports on Monday about the heavy load.
