Mlok to Harris bipod?..

I bought a Mlok to Harris bipod adaptor. Mounted it on the hand guard on my gun but the screw on the Harris bipod bottoms out before the bipod is tight against the hand guard. Anyone have any suggestions? Wanted this to be my coyote calling gun.

Having a hard time imagining it, can you not just shorten the screw with a dremel.

...Is there a Harris specific mounting type? Are you talking about sling swivel mount?

Is it a skinny handguard? The Harris has to mate with the handguard/stock in order to tighten up. Like Grizzlypeg said, you might have to help the bipod meet the handguard with a spacer that you'll likely have to custom make.

Im using a Magpul Mlok bipod mount with a Harris, works fine. Either spacer as already mentioned, or you need a lower profile bipod mount. If the mount attachment sticks off the handguard too far, you have a larger gap to close.

I’m too stupid to post pics but when the bipod is attached to the Mlok adaptor there is still almost a 1/4” between the hand guard and the bipod. Just went and looked at it again and I think I’ve got the Mlok QD sling swivel mount

Does the swivel stud stick out too far? Ideally, its as close to the surface as possible. Is there any way to shorten the stud if that is the problem? If you can't do that, maybe a thick piece of rubber with a hole cut in the centre to allow the mechanism to pass through would fill the gap.

The stud I have is only the size of the Mlok slot. I need one with a larger surface area for the bipod to come up against

Is this a stock or a chassis? Isn't there any way you can just forget using the mlock receptacle and drill and install a standard sling stud forward or rearward of the mlock receptacle?

It’s on a Raven 5.56. Talking with my buddy this morning he doesn’t think putting a bipod on the Raven is a good idea since the hand guard is only held on with 1 pin. He figures if you are twisting to line up on a coyote you might be torquing the hand guard too much. He figures using a spartan precision magna switch would be a better set up with there bipod as it would allow you to pivot more.

What’s your guys thoughts on this.
