When I picked this up I didn't want to give it back, so I bought it - two days after applying for my restricted.
Luckily I already had my non restricted and the CFC worked at warp speed and 5 weeks after sending in my application it was approved. Started the transfer that day - that was last Thursday.
Today it is home. My new (to me) Browning Hi Power - 75th anniversary edition. The only thing I don't *love* about this gun is the 9lb trigger - stupid mag disconnect. Although the disconnect will be gone after I get the chance to shoot it. Just in case there is an issue.
Now I just have to the blasted range safety course (September 8th) and a bunch of observations (6) I'll be able to shoot it. Gah damn idiotic rules. By the way, I'm NOT a photographer.

Nice looking HP!

load up the factory mags and let them sit loaded for a few months when your not shooting, as they come from the factory they are a monster to get the 10th round in.

If you don't like the "rat trap" ejection spring on the mag base, just pull the base off and take the spring out.

If the gun nibbles on the web of your shooting hand, you can move your grip down a bit. Not so hot for fast shooting, but saves you bleeding all over your nice shiney blued finish. that's why i got a stainless one. they like to bite me :p

I was seriously considering a GSG as my first restricted but then this gun came up. I've always wanted a Hi Power but couldn't justify a new one. When I saw this one - barely used and a couple hundered off the new price...

I'm assuming it wasn't on EE if it was cheaper than new :D Great piece of Canadian history, too. Enjoy! :D
