Can someone double check my MOA come-ups.

I am shooting a 700 VS (223) with a Mark 4 PR LR 4.5-14 1/4 minute

According to my trajectory table......yes I will be shooting at these ranges when the weather lightens up to get exact drops.

Yards MOA comeups Clicks

Am I out to lunch?

I thought the comeup was a bit too much too, but according to a Remington ballistics table the comeup for a 168 HPBT match is 49.9 inches...
Looks like you're on the right track though.

50 minutes at 500 is over 20 feet. 50" at 500 is under 10 minutes. With a 155gr in my .308, come up from 300m to 900m is about 31 minutes. That's my sight, so it is only an approximate number for any other situation.
 
I was at 10 Minutes or 43 1/4 MOA clicks for 500 yards(from 100 yard 0) with the 175SMK at 2600fps(AVG)

Those are way off. SWAG with a 200yd zero would be 10 to 15 min to 500yds

But that really depends on your load and velocity. Best bullets for this type of range would be the 69 to 80gr.

Didn't have much success with the lighter bullets out of my 222 when distances got much beyond 4 football fields.

I've never seen a .223 Rem shoot 168 gr HPBTs before:eek: :eek: :eek: .

And yes those numbers are way off. I think the boys have you in the right ball park though with 12.5 MOA or 50 clicks at 500 yards. It will all be clear to you once you get out to the range.

I love it when guys are counting clicks on the range:p Always seems like the best time to ask their phone number:dancingbanana: Even better if the guy has 1/8 ckicks.:D Much easier to count MOA then clicks.
Learn how the read the dials or use the vernier scale on irons.
 
I plan on using the NightForce 3.5-15x56 NXS with the NP-R2 reticle

for hold over it has a scale with 20MOA of drop in it!!and if I can ) at the top of the scale I will have 30MOA of hold over!!!!

The original posters data appears to be way off, as has been stated.

The following data pretty much duplicates a round I'm using in my .223 Tikka Tactical. (I adjusted the velocity until the "curve" fit known elevation settings because I've shot it out to 300yds but haven't Chrony'd it.)

The powder is Varget, 23.0 gr, Federal Match Primers, 2.330 OAL hand feeds (too long for mag).

As you can see, a Leupold will need a rail with MOA built in if you go close to 500 yds as most of them zero around 75 MOA on the turret (out of 90)

Rifle: Tikka T3 Tactical .223 8" twist, 24" barrel
