Can someone explain the difference between the trwo different beretta chokes that are available.

The Optima Choke is Beretta's backbored version, a larger bore diameter than the Mobil Choke system. 12 gauge only for the Optima Bore. (edited for clarity) You need the Optima Bore barrels to use the Optima Choke tubes, the two are not interchangable, the Optima Bore barrels have a longer forcing cone and larger diameter than the older system. The Optima choke tubes themselves are longer and have a different internal profile than Mobil Choke tubes.
