OUCH...poor old thing
and if the bore matches the outside condition then double ouch. Classic wall hanger, especially in this caliber.

I think its a great looking rifle!
With the limited view I have here it just looks like it needs only a good thorough cleaning and oiling.

Yup.. only some surface patina here and there as far as I can tell.
Heck, a buddy of mine has given me his 1960's Winchester 30-30 to hold while he moves and that thing had rusty areas on the outside that looked far worse than OP's gun (as he played with it sometimes, but never oiled it for some reason). Inside, the gun looked new though and the outside came out very decent after a good steel wool cleaning/rebluing.
