Mod 30 round mags to 20

Hey guys,
Is there a tutorial somewhere on how to mod cz858 mags?
I'm getting my first cz and would like to shorten the mags a little to make shooting on a rest a little comfortable.

My understanding is its illegal to modify a magazine.

I wouldn't guess at this - check out the RCMP website for a difinitive answer on the legality of it. If it is legal, I imagine it would be reasonably straightforward.

It is only illegal to modify a magazine to increase its capacity.
If you want to cut one down shorter, as long as it still only holds the legal amount, 5 rounds, you are fine.
Lots of Enfield magazines were cut down to 5 from 10 rounds.
Lots of people put full size AR mags around their .22 mags to make them look cooler.

At first read it sounds bad haha. I recall there being a write up where someone did it and it was doable but not the easiest. I'm not much help beyond that and saying try searching for it.
