I don't see one advantage that the 243WSSM offers over the std 243Win except extra costs and hassles. Why bother? .......... It's not that cool.

A 6.5CM or 243Win would be better practical choices by far and a 257Roberts would be waaaaaaay cooler than both.

im hearing you mate, been thinkin about this a bit before i dialled the guys number, but never did press Call..... sounds like a hassle and a standard 243 can be had for similiar price and much ease of use..

the Roberts is likely high contender in a nice rifle at some stage ..... they seem like a perfect cartridge for what im after, however the 243 win loaded 'down' a bit with a good 80gr or so would be fairly handy too........ makes sense actually.
high power 100gr load and a 80 or so cup an core at say 2700fps area for the young bloke would be alright... when the time comes il look into lighter charges an which powder suits that etc.
