I do prefer these rifles in their stock form, but this is a mutt gun with missing parts so i like to mod this one. Its been hard finding a comfortable setup. I seem to change this SKS almost each time I shoot it. Originally I had it in full Tapco, didn't like its feel, used a Monte Carlo afterwards. Liked that better.
Yesterday while shooting that stock, it was heavy, and there is some play in its fit.

So back to the Tapco, except I put on an extra ATI stock i had laying around and the feel and cheekweld is much nicer now. It only locks into 3 positions instead of 6 but I only use two of them so no issue there. Likely just a cross brand fitment thing. Tossed the Tapco Lego block handgaurd and used the ATI instead as well.

No it was the ATI. Nice long lop, but quite heavy. Tapco makes the Timbersmith.

Looks good man. I did the same thing with an old ATI stock i had.
What grip cover is that?
