Modding a T81 mag to fit an AK?

So I have left over mags and a drum sitting around from my old T81, and I have a couple of rifles that take AK mags, with only a couple of AK mags on hand to feed them. While I know it's possible to modify an AK mag to fit a T81 (I know, because I did it with a pmag)....

...Has anyone successfully gone the other way??

I'm tempted to just start filing, but I thought I'd check first and see if anyone has done this and how reliable the T81 mags were in an AK-pattern rifle. Seems like a waste to buy more AK mags if I can mod my existing T81 mags and drum.

EDIT - never mind, I just bought AK mags. Easier than bothering with modifying the other ones.

you can modify ak47 mags to fit into t81 and they will still work in ak system ... do not ask me how i discover that i will deny it ...

with no mods most of the t81 mags are working into ak system ...again ...do not ask me how i discover that i will deny it ...

a shame TI did not import directly the t81 that was running with ak mags ...

Not sure but I’d mod a box mag first and see what it takes before working on the drum. The drum is likely a more expensive piece to damage

i had a romanian ak drum that worked just fine on the t81. some people had to do a bit of fitting.

Yeah i had to do a decent bit of fitting on one of my Romanian drums. Thanks Century arms, really cool!
