The short reset disco won't give you faster splits, you should be resetting under recoil. But it will give you a nicer crisper wall

No problem, but I should clarify this is with the original Shadow. I know Slavex has tried different discos in the S2, and his trigger finger is more ‘tuned’ than mine is.

Interesting... Found pics of SP-01, S2, and pre-B discos - the latter two look very similar. The SP-01 disco basically has more pronounced (deeper) hook that allows the trigger bar travel further forward when the hammer is in the cocked position. 38 Euro at ipscstore dot com, plus 6 Euro for shipping.

...and combined with trigger time has resulted in my finger really liking my current setup.

Just tried my stock Shadow and it felt yucky compared to my match gun with the 85C trigger, pre-B disco and comp hammer. I did do some .14 splits with it just now, but it’s very inconsistent.

I guess if you can’t ‘buy’ skills, this whole ‘practice’ thing you keep going on about, makes sense. Lol!

On the topic of the original post, I am a big advocate for starting new shooters on the best trigger you have available. They will quickly adapt to a light trigger, and learn all the correct skills much more easily. Starting on sh!tty triggers just increases the chances of learning bad habits. Having exposure to crappy triggers later on gives a person the chance to learn how to apply their skills and learn from the difference.

I agree with the above, the M2.0's weird trigger definitely didn't help me start out. But it's not like the Shadow 2 has a bad trigger to begin with.
