Model 100 firing pin anyone?

Winchester, but you need to send in your old one and it takes a few chunk of calendar
to get the new one from them.

Call this number and give them a little chat.

Winchester will still honor the firing pin recall and will issue you a $30 cheque too.
It could take a couple months turn around time.
They will send the firing pin up here in Canada.
If you do buy a pin from an alternate source, send your old pin in and get the
updated one. They want your serial number of your rifle to update their file.
You will easily sell the one they send you.

I did two replacements - had NO PROBLEMS with Winchester - the nice lady started to tell me to take it to a gunsmith to get firing pin taken out ... but when I told her I had them in my hand she said "oh OK - here's where to send them, when I get them I send you your replacements. Whole process took about 2 weeks.

I did not know Rob Wise was now the M-100 warranty person as it was W.R Long out of Coburg Ont. "superted", just where did you send your firing pins for exchange. There often is someone at the hunt camp that periodically needs this procedure done, so it nice to have current information.

I called the toll free number in the States (probably the one other posters have mentioned) and told my story to her - gave her serial numbers as I recall, so Winchester has a record of rifles that have been "updated - she would've given me an address then to ship the old ones back to. I am travelling now and don't have that info here -will be back next week and probably dig it out for you - but they will give that info to you when you call.
