I had one in 7mm'08. Sold it. Rings were useless garbage. The screws for the bases were made of a softer metal than the Loctite holding them in so I had to tap them out. The cheap plastic trigger guard broke. Ordered a new one from savage. Bolt was clunky. Sometimes the bolt face would catch on the edge of the chamber when going forward (design flaw not manufacturing flaw).
You can do a lot better. Cabela's has the Vanguard Series 2 bundled with some weaver one piece mounts with a leupold made redfield scope. Easily 200x the rifle that the savage is. Easily 60000x the scope and mounts.

Mine is in 7mm rem mag and I love it. Tack driver with my handloads and the scope is good enough. Soon to come will be a Boyd's stock.
