Gentlemen: I have a early '60's production field grade model 12. It is a 12 bore. How far should it eject the fired rounds when pumped briskly? It ejects the casings well enough but they seem to dribble out and fall at my feet. I have checked the ejector and the left and right extractors all springs are strong. The gun has had very few rounds fired through it. It has stove piped an empty on two occasions. I have used all brands of ammo. Any suggestions or do the model 12 have less then robust ejection when compared to an 870 or Ithaca 37? The gun is CLEAN.

Why wouldn't you want them to drop at your feet, especially if you are hunting. I hate having to scan 10-15 feet beside me to pick up empty shells. Hell of a lot easier at your feet.

Mine drops them about two feet or so to the right. It's no SKS though. My SKS throws the "brass" about 10 feet high and 10 to the right.
