I purchased this firearm a few years back from a fellow out of Sechelt on the coast. It has a short magazine and he thought it may have been issued to the West Coast Militia back in WW2. I contacted the factory and learned it was produced in 1904. I've had it checked out and it works great and shoots well. I would like to find out more about this firearm and am wondering if anyone can refer me to a Winchester afficienado in the Vancouver area so I can learn a little more about the history of it. I'd appreciate any help I can get.

Thanks

PCMR initially used their own privately owned firearms. Issuearms were in the 1300000 range.

west coast ranger or Pacific militia rifles werealso issued with a simble spesific to those guns stamped in the wood of the forearm, the wood of the stock and the metal of the action.

PCMR M94s were stamped with the C broad arrow on the butt, body and forestock like other Cdn military arms.
