Not so easy to locate .357 max these days.
JTF# , for makeshift bullets I drilled out an old socket to as near .352" as I could get (I think it was an 'S' lettered bit) polished it well with a dremel and then I just whacked a hardcast lead .357 bullet through the hole. I even ended up with most of the lube intact! You can get fancy and chamfer the mouth of your new 'die' and use a bolt or rod that fits the die so that when you whack it through it stays centered. You can even slug your barrel and make a super-custom die this way. I recommend holding the die in a vise too!!
