model 1907 Winchester .351 selfloader surprise....

i can put .38spl and .357 rounds in the chamber of one of mine. i have some light charge .357's with just cast lead tips that i have been thinking of testing in the one of mine that has a worn out barrel. there a little shorter than the .351's but it fits in the chamber good, just they wont cycle through the magazine as the rim is to big. even if i have to shoot it single shot i realy wana continue shooting the old girl.

this is my 1905 in .35WSL. its first year production. some guy just made the stocks for it but they work. I will replace them once I get some more money. I have the ammo and dies for it. I just need some bullets to reload.

JTF# , for makeshift bullets I drilled out an old socket to as near .352" as I could get (I think it was an 'S' lettered bit) polished it well with a dremel and then I just whacked a hardcast lead .357 bullet through the hole. I even ended up with most of the lube intact! You can get fancy and chamfer the mouth of your new 'die' and use a bolt or rod that fits the die so that when you whack it through it stays centered. You can even slug your barrel and make a super-custom die this way. I recommend holding the die in a vise too!!

Great idea, I was saving up for a custom swaging die from CH4D - but I like your thinking there. Could simply use a drill press to apply the force for that matter.

Recap.....just got #3 today! cracked forestock with an old repair but otherwise nice condition and.........250 custom JSP .351 bullets, 50 rounds Remington .351 WSL in original box, .351 WSL 3-die set, 100+ once fired .351 brass.....and an extra magazine!!!
