Am working on a Ross Model 1910 Mk.IIIB. It often fails to pick up the top round in the magazine. This occurs whether the magazine is full, partially full or only has one round in it. Sometimes as the bolt moves forward you can see the bolt catching the rim then as the bolt travels forward a bit more the cartridge appears to " firm up " between the two side lips on the magazine and drops down enough for the bolt face to slide right over the rim. I suspect either the two side lips need to be " tweaked " a little wider or the follower spring is weak. I have another 1910 Ross that ha sno feed problems at all and it's magazine follower seems to be a little stiffer. The magazine in the problem rifle has smooth feed surfaces, no dents or dings and is clean on the inside. The follower seems to work very smoothly. It is is " easy " to insert cartridges one at a time into the magazine. This one has me scratching my head. I do have a spare magazine and will swap the two out to see if that solves thr problem. Any hints, suggestions/ Thanks in advance for any help. Joe
