Just the slightest update, something sort of novel;
I aquired a Swarovski Habicht Nova 1.5-6x42 scope for this, it did unfortunately come with the older style rail.
Well, made a few different 3D models and corrected and modified them to evolve into some very low mounts to custom fit the thing.
Ordered in 316 stainless today, probably a couple weeks out, this is new to me, some pics of the plastic versions and the model:
Maybe this is the future.. 3D laser sinter printed scope mounts.. a bit less than $100 shipped to the door. Custom fit and logos, hard to beat the price. I scratched these up so they fold over the action edges, essentially putting recoil forces into the parts instead of the hardware, I also upsized the holes to M4. I’ll test fit, dremmel and height spots if needed, then powder coat. After powder coat I’ll epoxy bed them to the action and mount up the glass. Added the Swarovski text and hawk for the custom look
