I am thinking of getting a model 25 and am wondering if anyone here has any experience with them? How is accuracy, feeding, function, etc. So far I have not been able to handle one, but they look kind of ugly.I could likely put up with that if they have a good rep. as being accurate. The one I want would be in .17 Hornet. Thanks for any input.

OK,found another post on 25's. No need to reply unless you have something else to add.
Thanks.

I don't know what post you looked at, but the model 25 Walking Varminter in the laminated thumbhole is a nice gun... I don't own one, but I have handled it and know two people who have them and love the gun... they have proven to be very accurate... and they are far from ugly.

I just got a walking varminter in .223. Ugly and seems like the axis but the bolt is smooth and it feeds well ( used some dummy rounds). The accu trigger is a step up from the axis by far. When the roads dry up to the range I'll give it a go. From everything I've read it should shoot. I bought it to be used hard so the Fugliness doesn't bother me.

It is a plastic econo gun that shoots well.
