Model 29-2 value help

I was wondering if someone around here could help me with the value of a s and w model 29's

I have a model 29-2 with a n4###xx serial number. I believe it is a manifacture date of 1977 or 78. Gun is 8ish/10 condition. Just some minor lightening of the bluing in one spot on barrel. It definitley has been shot but barrel appears to still be in very good shape.

All I really know about it is what I paid for it 15 or 20 years ago.

I've been tossing around the idea of selling it as it hasn't left my safe in the last 7 or 8 years but don't know what it would be worth or if I should just hang on to it.

If it is not a prohib, I'd say around 750 to 800. Maybe a little more if you have all the original paperwork and boxes and that is a conservative 8. Seems like people are willing to go 1200-1300 for really nice complete examples but price drops quickly without packaging and with signs of wear.
 
It is around 6" definitley not the 4" option. I think there was 6" and a slightly longer option.
I don't have original packaging.
 
Yes if it is a -2 and definitely not a 4", it is most likely a 6.5" barrel. The other was an 8 3/8" which is fairly long so you would know it.
 
With no box or papers I'd put a average condition 6.5" at $700-750....one in near mint condition could push up towards $900.....with the presentation box and tools, 1200-1300+
