Model 29 classic seems hard to find?

I picked up a 100% mint 29-2 just over a month ago from a dealer. Someone else beat me to it but it was just past closing and then they didn't call the dealer back with their info the next day so I happened to phone back just to make sure it was sold and BAM........MINE! I still can't believe the condition, immaculate. Keep looking because they DO pop up, it just takes alot of looking and waiting and keeping enough $$ set aside to 'pop' on one when it shows.

Let me guess: You looked in the mirror holding the 29 and said "Go ahead, make my day!"

I would have, LOL!!

Made in 1976. Just cleaned her, so the white lint is from the cloth, my camera shows up everything. The screws for the side plate are rusted on lol. I hear a rattle inside but cant get the screws out to check, its seems to operate fine.

Very nice! I got to shoot a cylinder full with the 6 1/2" barrel 29 in the early Eighties, was so excited I forgot to look closer at the gun details. Not sure when it was made, but a very nice gun in fantastic shape.

I handled it well and the guy (I sort of knew him) tried to snow me saying "Oh, those were black powder loads!", to which I called BS, LOL!

The recess in the grip is so that a speed loader will clear it. Here's my 29-3 Classic Hunter:
