Model 41 Ammo

I have recently bought a new S&W model 41.
I haven't shot more than 200 yet. I have problem with the ammo though. Federal gold eagle jams one out of 2 or 3;
Winchester HP does somewhat better, but not completely really.

Do you guys have any suggestions? Any ammo brands that does good with tis handgun? would it get better when you shoot more rounds?

When I shot steel silhouette with my Model 41 the most consistent accuracy I got was using CCI Standards and that was at 100m (max). Worked in my Model 41. You might want to give those a try.

My 41 is very fussy but loves Lapua 'Standard Plus'.

Tuning the extractor as shown below might improve functioning:

Failing that, try CCI Standard Velocity and any other standard velocity ammo you can find. You can also try different recoil spring weights; Wolff offers some for the 41.
