Sadly, the return trip wasn't as productive, pretty sure I got the best deal on the 600. Bought a sporter Enfield but the Cooey 39 was priced at $195 tax in (and I was sure it was $125 last week). And it's kind of rough.
L&M Surplus in Sackville, NS
Better move soon. The owner is an older guy and is pushing 80, he said they started the business 47 years ago with his uncle, but his uncle died many years ago. When I was in the other day he was stoking the woodstove with what smelled like some sort of creosote-soaked scrap wood, the place stunk to high heaven and my clothes reeked after I left. He still has a good stock of used guns, none were stellar examples, and a few new guns. All the surplus is mid 80s era, but always manage to find a few tidbits when I visit. His son helps him out with the business but not sure if he will continue when it comes to his turn to run the place. It's not a large shop, but worth an occasional visit.
