Model 70 BOSS Thread Protector

Does anyone know of a thread protector you can buy for when you remove your BOSS device from a Model 70? Or are there any machinists/gunsmiths that could make that for me?
I know about the CR device, I would also be interested if anyone knew where to buy one of those in Canada.

Should of came with the gun, try Keith at Longs in Bewdley, On. He was and may still be a warranty rep for Winchester. He has a lot of parts.

I just has my gunsmith cut the threads off mine and re crown. Its 1” shorter now but much better.

I’ll send Keith an email, thanks. And I may end up cutting it off but would like to try to live with it for the time being.
