am I going crazy? I've been looking at the stainless featherweight in 30/06 to buy after the registry is gone. Winchester's website only shows it in wsm chamberings. I was sure when i looked the other day, it came in every standard chambering. It was a toss up between the 308 and 30/06, or 270. I already have a 300 wsm classic stainless. I like the extreme weather but I'm not wild about the wide fore end. I hunt mostly on horseback with my rifle in a saddle scabbard.
 
No, you are not crazy. I looked the other day as well and they (standard chamberings) were there.
Now if only they offered 6.5X55, well...

Wait till the registry is gone,no matter what the Gov't says they will not be destroying the records IMO...........I have two Win made FWT's , one in .270 SS Classic and a 6.5x55 in wood push feed.Both shoot 1/2 " or better depending on the operator..........Harold.....forget the short mags they will be extinct some day soon
