Back to Ted, I do not recall what the safety was, but based on everything I have read on this thread I am guessing that your hypothesis is correct. Mind you, this IS eastern Ontario and as blargon notes, just about anything is possible.................just ask my gunsmith "smoji" what he thinks about all this!

isn't everyone in Ontario a gunsmith??:) At least, everyone with a hacksaw, grinder, and a belt sander!:)
 
back to Blargon, you forgot "electric drill"............for chamber work and counter-boring muzzles.

And then after the home gunsmith is finished with them, I end up buying them. But my smith thinks this is very good, it gives him a steady source of income!
