Model 94, 7-30 Waters advice.

The 7-30 is so much fun. I bought one in the box also. Had to strip it to get it to work as the oil was all gummed up. It shoots 120’s, 139’s and 155’s very well. I was lucky and have a stockpile of bullets for mine. I use 30-30 range pick up brass and resize/fireform.

Congrats on an excellent rifle

Thanks, with this gun it’s kind of the beginning of the end of owning guns for purely practical reasons for me. Recently I clipped and filed some 200gr soft points and loaded them in my 30-30 over some 3031 powder. They shoot really well. I’m considering doing the same with some .284 160gr speers I have lying around. How’s the trigger on your’s. And in fact does anyone have any suggestions for 80’s-90’s era crappy Winchester triggers?

Also, toebako, what do you use for a bullet/charge when you fire-form? Have you ever checked your accuracy/velocity when fire forming?

Cheers
