Model 94 in its 94 yr in the family and gave my 13yr old bro his first Buck

It was mistakenly lent up against the tire of a quad after we had 3 deer down and my lil bro was all excited and forgot about it and the man that owned the quad drove off and never noticed... I went to gut the second deer and noticed a 300yd long trench from inbetween the bike tracks and sadly found my rifle was the cause of it... It had wrapped up over the control arm and the stock drove into the ground and it bent the barrel, mag tube in a 45deg and destroyed the front stock... The rear stock plowed ALOT of dirt but looks as though it could be salvaged i think do to the heavy steel but plate wrapping over the top of it... And the action still seems to cycle fine but the back steel that the rear stock bolt goes threw on theaction is bent down abit and the action wont fire as the lever wont come up high enough to disengage the lever safty now... I think now that it is apart that i could fix the action and salvage the rear stock but it deffinatly need a fore stock wich might be difficult to find a mag tube should be easy enough as i beleive they are the same as the 30-30 but i dont no what to do about the barrel? If anyone has any ideas please let me no... Its bent pretty bad beyond straightening i think... Do i rebarrel it or have EPPS straighten it and hang it up as a looker?

s**tty deal

..........:(

that sucks.............

Yes it certainly did... But the outreach of parts that the very good members on this amazing forum have offered up for sale to me since the tragedy is making it quite possible to restore the gun i beleive... I stripped it last night other then the rear stock (had to get the mag tube off to eject the amunition) and took the action apart and all looks quite salvagable... The action looks quite good... I think i have stocks coming and maybe a hole other 32 94 for parts for it..... I wouldnt worry about even saving the action but if i rebuild that action then i it will still atleast have sentimental value to it... This will be the last time its ever used if i get it back twogether!

Thanks to all the members that have Pm'd me to help me put this gun back twogether...

A memory you son will take with as long as he lives... and with that gun, no doubt it will be around and as reliable then, when he hands it to his kids.

Beauty Buck and oh, do me a favor, reach over and with the palm of your hand, mess up your sons hair!

Great Pics and keep up the good work dad!;)
