Model 94 problem

m 94

Sounds like the cartridge stop is worn or sticky. Some well used 94's encounter this problem. Let us know how you make out.

I've had this problem too, with a couple of my Big Bores. Fairly easy fix if your a little handy. I just welded it up a little with a mig, then reshaped with a file, using another link from my .307, which works perfect. It hasn't happened since. If your good with a hammer, you can also "peen" the stop a little and file to fit. Good luck.

Problem fixed

Well I've taken the proactive choice and taken the gun to my gunsmith. I have a welder and files but not enough time to take this apart and due work on it. Besides for what the gunsmith is charging I might as well just have him do it. Now the only thing is how long will it be before I get the gun back?

Good thing I have something else to hunt with.
