having a hard time with the value of the guns i inherited so you'll be seeing a few post from me asking for your guys knowledge !! anyways

model 94
30-30
Bushnell scope 3x - 9x
theres pitting on the receiver, bore looks good. was kept in a safe
stock has bumps and dings
definatly not perfect.

Looking at that gun, I'd have a hard time believing the bore is good. Maybe it is, but as a buyer having only pics to go by, I think you should be happy to get $300. You're probably better off removing the scope and mount, it detracts from the value, if anything. My opinion anyhow.

I have to disagree with those who would have you remove the scope. It would then have a row of holes down the side of the receiver.
Once it's been done, it can't be undone (the damage). That and today, everyone thinks they need a scope like it's gods gift to accuracy. It might even be a sales feature to someone who can't bear a rifle without one.
Decidedly not a collector piece. Under 400 is where I'd be.

Looks like a late 1971-1980 version, the first revision after the horrid post 64's, they make great 'truck guns'.

I think that the sidemount base attaches using the hole for the plug screw that retains the link pin, plus the two holes for an aperture sight - so there may not be extra holes down the side of the receiver. The offset scope mount is a way of getting a scope onto a rifle not designed to be scoped. Sort of odd to use, but you can get used to it.
It is just a somewhat used post '64 rifle, with a ho-hum scope mounted in a manner that many would not like.
Might be able to squeeze $400 out of it, be prepared for less.

Those mounts work surprisingly well if you're left handed. You just have to tilt your head over a little more. They really suck for right handers. I think that mount uses the pre-existing holes, like the Williams mount on my brother's rifle.
