Hi I have been trying to find out the model of the Remington bolt action 22 rf.
It looks eactly like the model 700 centre fire. Seen one a while back and can't seem to find out anything about them. I imagine it is a model 700 something.
Thanks

It could also be the Remington 547. This is a newer custom shop rifle but looks exactly like a scaled down 700. It comes with a Lilja barrel installed....I think. Quite pricey. About 1600 by the time it get to Canada. Epps was listing one a few months back.

The 541 looks similar to a 700 but the bolt and the action is way different. The new 547 looks exactly the same.

Check the Remington custom shop website.

Could it be the Model FIVE?

If so it's super accurate and super simple to do a trigger job too.

If the action is as you say and is exactly like the 700 series - it will be a 40X.
They were originally made in the configuration of the 722 with straight bolt handle and round knob. When Remington developed the 700, the 40X was given a swept bolt handle and oval checkered knob ala 700. They have also been made in sporter versions with 5 shot magazines(quite rare and expensive). 40Xes were available with a varmint weight barrel and with a very heavy straight tapered barrel.
Both with and without sights(typically Redfield aperture and globe).
Configurations were S1 and S2 , and H1 and H2. Standard and heavy and with and without sights respectively.
Like other 40X creations they are custom shop items - and still available! Rifle below is of the 722 vintage - very accurate.

They are all noted for their superlative accuracy.
If you find one and decide against acquiring it please call me.
