Was looking around on different dealer websites looking for glock shoulder stocks and saw this :

Type%2097%20standard.jpg

Anyone here buy one of these ? Is this the cheap solution to the Tavor? Japanese? Norinco? The rifle looks pretty cool but I my Spidey Senses are tingling. I have the feeling that if I was to buy the rifle that something would bust after 20 rounds and would never be able to find parts for it or there would be horrid feeding issues etc.. Anyone with deep pockets here that took the plunge and has some reviews? :D

Do tell.

Well the 1st letdown to a lot of CGNers its restricted rifle vs the non restricted Tavor and 2nd the price was little too steep for a Norinco product as many expressed.

Do a search on the Type 97, you'll come up with a lot of goodies.

No, they're relatively new but the price they were brought in at turned out to be disappointing, more like a high-end AR, than a Chinese copy of an AR-18 action in a plastic shell. Needless to say they weren't a hit.

yeah there's a sniper version (not quite the same rifle but still very cool) that would definitely be non-rest. I would pay 1k for that

I still think they are neat guns, i would definitely get one if a dealer brought them in for what they are worth. Imo thats about 750$. It looks like kind of a difficult gun to accessorize seeing as there are no rails included in the package. It would be a fun KISS gun to play with next to an AR tho.
