I have a Colt 1911 in 9mm and love it,but it has been customized.
Colt 9mm isn,t the easiest to find,but there is a Colt Talo 1911 you could import from the States.
I have dealt with Sean at Freedom Ventures a few times and service has been excellent.
The Sti pistols are really nice,right out of the box.
I owned a Trojan in .40 and 9mm.
As mentioned,the triggers are really nice out of the box and can be lightened without having to buy any new parts.
Their parts are quality.
I also liked the fact that STI doesn,t use any uneccessary extra safety devices.
I would liken it to a Series 70 Colt.
A Commander size STI in 9mm could be a good pick.
