SAM 1911A1 from Wolverine for better fit and finish than Norinco for only a little more
Look at Canada Ammo, one of the banner advertisers at top of the page. They still import an almost identical copy of the 1911 Government model and price it at $379, plus taxes.
Nice gun yes, but the sights are not even close to an original 1911-A1
Looking at that Inland 1911-A1, it's a pretty d@m close to the original.
Also nice, but, the ejection port is lowered and cut back.
There are not many companies that make d@m close copies.
1. Inland
2. TISAS ZIG M1911
3. ?
I’ve become interested in the norincos. Any big differences between them and the real deal?
Looks pretty close to me
Very slightly. They work better because of the slight modification IMHO.
That was a very typical mod made to GI surplus pistols back in the day, along with cutting down the the corner just above the ejector to stop stovepipes with under powered ammo or light bullets.
Hey Folks,
Just hoping to get some opinions and thoughts on who is currently making a 1911 that is most like the M1911A1 issued to allied troops during the war.
Well good job guys look what you did now! Pushed me over the edge to buying my first 1911
