Modern 7.62X25?

How about a new 1911 in 9mm!

All you need is a barrel chambered for 7.62X25, and some .38 Super magazines.

Good to go.:)

I am under the impression that .38 super has the same COAL as 10mm, which is 2mm shorter than x25. I was thinking of using converting a glock 20 unfortunately the rounds are too long. Is that something you have done or seen a credible account of?

Have a look here.

7.62X25 cartridges fit my .38 Super mags just fine.

I plan on building one with a long slide using a 6" or 7" barrel, just to see what velocities are attainable with that round.

One thing I noticed, it says the mags will hold "4-6" rounds yet buddy in the video burns 10. Typo or...? Who is making .38 Super 1911s? Under $1000 would be nice. I am way out of my league with 1911s, never held any interest in them...

apparently you can only load 5-6 rounds of 7.62x25 in a .38 super mag at their reg size, but people run the surplus stuff your a press and seat it deep and recrimp it and it works

Russians make this SMG in 7.62x25. sorry for the bad picture, couldn't find a better one. It's PP-27 KLIN-2. in Russian: ПП-27 "Клин-2"
It has interesting mechanics, when bolt moves backward the barrel moves forward to compensate recoil impulse.

Could you bring in a pistol version?

if you read more about the conversion they reseat the bullets deeper to reduce the oal of the 7.62x25 round so they can fit more in a 38 mag.
