Nothing apparently. I used wrong word. Heard it once used in context of KelTec guns and thought I got the meaning. Pardon my English, it's the fourth language I had to learn in my life. What does holes have to do with making it boutique rifle?

If this current batch of M10Xs turn out to be reliable, they'll basically be better than a T81 in every way: better ergos, easier optic mounting, etc. For now though, their reliability is an unknown. All the other generations were a real roll of the dice. Some people have gen 2s that run reliably but there have certainly been numerous horror stories. Even the ones that run reliably seem to require one specific ammunition to run well. Imo, the only reason to run a 7.62x39 is to run the cheapest surplus ammo possible so a rifle that won't run it is kind of useless. At this point it's easier to just mod a T81 to your liking and know that it will happily chug along regardless of what you feed it.Recent T81 owners seem very sensitive about x39 competitors. Its bizarre, buy both the T81 is cool as hell but lets not pretend it doesn't have obvious drawbacks.

Type 81 is a Chinese made stamped receiver semi automatic rifle with poor finish, nasty trigger, limited mounting solutions, accuracy like a SKS. But some can shoot around the corner i heard.
The bar has been dropped in the mud; yet it’s still high enough to trip most Canadian manufacturers![]()
