anyone in canada doing modern BLR (the one with the screws) triggers? mine feels like a double action from Uzbekistan:(

from Uzbekistan:(

Ahhhhh is that where they're made these days...? Sad, Browning has really gone downhill since the made-in-Belgium days, tsk tsk...

In all honesty, I don't know anyone who'll touch those triggers- the way the floating trigger and sear interface is just wonky on them. The BLR is one of those guns that makes smiths cringe- I've worked on a handful of the old ones, but anything on the new allow receivers is about as good as a jack handle as far as I'm concerned...

In my career, I have worked on all sorts of triggers but the BLR is one I will not touch, unless iy was my own rifle. Life is too short.

I think Browning 78's fall into that category too... at least those that have been all screwed over before you got the pleasure...

Thanks for the input....I know there is a guy in the states who does a great job but I can only imagine the nightmare shipping/customs issues....
