I just learned that gen3 pmags will not function properly in an ATRS modern hunter. Does anyone know why this is and if there is any way to modify them to work? IE remove material, etc?

Thanks!

Lots of explanation in ATRS's threads below. Btw, xcr/m 10 rounders work flawlessly. And gen3 mags cannot be made to work....reliably. Thus ATRS is making their own. They should be ready in 5 and 10 round versions in the summer.

I think Rick from ATRS has been quoted as saying he has thousands of GEN3 mags..... if you can find a way to make it work, I'm sure you'd be very popular with him!!!

Thanks everyone for your responses. That is a real bummer, I probably wouldn't have bought it had I known that. Its my fault for not doing my home work before buying such an expensive rifle I suppose.. Does anyone know where to find 1st or 2nd generation pmags?

Once atrs comes out with high quality mags you might see some one for sale. Right now far and few between and expensive.
Once Rick gets those mags ready the mh mag issue will go away.

Indeed! Like you drop that kind of money on a gun only to learn you can't even buy magazines for it? I knew that I should have stuck with a tried and tested firearm.

Hi Gord1986, from your profile you live in Calgary. Wouldn't it be easier to just drive over to ATRS and get your answer from the source?

Just saying. ...

If you're looking to fire sale some gen 3 pmags in 308 let me know!
