Modern, Non-Restricted Semi-Automatic Rifle?

Hello, i'm wondering about a nice, modern, non-restricted semi-automatic rifle, along the lies of the Tavor, or the AR180B, but i would love some more suggestion, as both rifles are of the extremes, one is on one end of the price (3k for tavor, fully loaded with scope and etc., while the AR180B is 1k and only gets mag and manual) is there anything in between? Or is customizing the AR180B with lots of stuff (EOTech?) a much better option?

You forget the Swiss Arms PE90, which is in the same league of the Tavor in price-wise...... also don't forget the CZ-858........

If you want a .308 "Black/Green Rifle" you need to go restricted, the only options in .308 that won't end your marriage are a mildly tuned M14/305 or one of the AR10's. A Sage stocked M14/305 will still probably relegate you to a marital status of "seperated". If it absolutely has to be non-restricted the M14 is your only viable option. Don't worry too much about it being 'cheap' you'll spend several times the original price on GI and aftermarket parts.
