Your MS Colt clone is ###y AF!!!
I had a Colt AR15A4 that I stripped for parts so everything excpet the trigger came from that. The trigger is a hiperfire edt I believe. No fitment issues except the dust cover rod/pin or whatever it's called had to be filed down about a 1/4" so it didn't interfere with the barrel nut.
So... all I have to do is find a Colt AR15A4 lying around somewhere and I’m set...

I know you can buy Stag 15 retro rifles at at least one big shop here in Canada (armseast $1500). Basically an A2 replica. Sucks to have to buy a whole rifle and ditch the receiver but might be just as cheap as buying all the individual parts. You can buy retro stock and handguards at a bunch of different shops, maybe get a 20" norinco upper for cheap with the fixed sight for the barrel. I was going to build an A2 clone this way with a bunch of random new/used parts and leave my Colt alone but I decided I might as well just strip it and get more use of the parts since I hardly ever shoot at the range anyway.
Forgive my ignorance, but does SLR mean self-loading rifle, or something else? I see this acronym a lot lately, and it confuses me- aren't all semi-autos SLR's?
re the OP's fine looking rifles, why is one called an SLR, and the other called a Modern Sporting Rifle?
I'm very new to AR's... can you tell?![]()

You have me convinced you're trolling...
All you need to know is that "AR15" stands for "Assault rifle, 15 deaths per trigger pull".

Nope, It's a genuine question.
I do get caught up in the meanings of words and phrases, though. Not sure if I'm a tad OCD or what.
