Modern Sporter - Build Discussions

There's been a few people inquiring about the 224 Valkyrie, so no cussing required.

We do have the reamer, we have brought in factory ammo but not sure it'll be something we regularly carry. Demand will dictate.

We absolutely are, and thank you.

I will reach out to you Shaun or Dustin soon, I like to discuss a Modern Sporter Carbon Fiber .224 built besides the built you are doing for my wife already :) Maybe get it cerakoted too. Is there still room to get on the 2nd run (slick) upper/lower combo?

What about the jp scs? When will they be in Canada.

Hopefully soon, but it can't be soon enough! :-/

We're still waiting for paperwork to get approval from the state dept. They're back to work now which is good, but for perspective... I can't even imagine what my desk would look like if the whole office took a month off, let alone what the STATE department would have for a back log.

When do you guys expect to start making the forward assist uppers?

Sorry, I just couldn't help myself. Had to ask because I know if I didn't someone else was gunna anyways

.

That's a really easy question to answer actually! We'll start those as soon as we are finished up all of the slick side uppers! :D

There is still room technically, however slick side especially we're watching very closely. We're making all of the uppers now, for both the first and second runs of lowers. The slick sides are almost complete which gives them a finite number. On forward assists and the lowers for the second run, we can still bring in additional material with only a few weeks notice so those numbers are adjustable and flexible. Obviously after we're done the second run of lowers we'll be making more uppers again, but that would be more like 'run #2.5' at that point...

Those are for the first batch of recievers only. It makes the safety spring captured.
You use the ball instead of the detent pin, and cut the spring to 1/4" long.
The best part about this mod, is that you can now adjust the tension on your safety.

I hope I get an email or phone call to pay shipping. CC is in hand! YES. Just got my break indexed. I have everything on the bench ready to put together.

I'm a little jealous being in the 150 range.....
Hopefully I get both my uppers at once?
I got a 224 Valkyrie barrel on the way and a 223 Wylde sitting here ready
