Looks pretty functional to me
It’s functional. I had one problem with it piercing primers. The firing pin protrusion was out of spec because the bolt face was 10 thou deeper.
The slick side ejection port is enlarged.

I do, but still waiting on import of barrel blank. It's been a long ####ed up process to get a blank.
If it’s a 50 cal it probably won’t be approved to be exported.

0.492/0.500 1:20 twist 6 groove. Will be chambered 12.7x42 (50 beowulf)

It's slightly different than .50BMG which is 0.500/0.510. 12.7x42 is 0.490/0.500. I've already paid the export company. It should be in Canada next month.
If not, it's back to the drawing board (again).
I tried ordering a McGowen 50 Beowulf through Mystic Precision and Jerry said it wouldn’t fly. So I bought one of TNA’s barrels.
Question about handguards. I’ve got MRA 7.62x39 barrel with carbine length gas. 18.6”. Would like to use magpul drop in hand guard because light and cheap. I would put on some low-pro gas block and but the end cap to that and drop in the handguard. Would this kit and barrel look retardo with a carbine length set up. Other idea I had was use a rifle length hand guard with a dummy gas block (or any better idea????) to hold the end cap in place. Feasible? Stupid? Impossible? I’m only assuming a magpul handguard would fit over top of a gas block of course. I hope I’m describing this well enough.
