I finished my build from post 44. 7.3 lbs without scope and 8.5 lbs with 1-4X. Will test this weekend. Even though it's not much lighter than my XCR at 7.7 lbs, I guess the balance makes it feel lighter.
Thats probably the most unique build yet. Well done!!!
Finally finished my Modern Sporter build! Ended up super light, don't have an exact weight but its definitely lighter than any AR I've ever built.

Haven't decided on a muzzle device yet, I might just end up going with an A2 flash hider since I bet this gun will shoot super smoothly with the gas block, lightweight BCG, and JP Buffer anyways.
Bag is a Hazard 4 Smuggler that I got as an extra for a purchase I made on CGN, and the IFAK is a Blue Force Gear Trauma Kit NOW!

Waiting on a few different dust covers to try out, as I'm not pleased with the fitment of my current one.
And my muzzle device is a piece of threaded brass hex stock, because that's what I had laying around that was an appropriate size. I'm waiting on a proper knurled steel thread protector.
Currently a little over 8 lbs and far from being a "budget build".
Here’s my C7ish 601 build (with upper this time!) haven’t torqued barrel on just yet and about to order a CH (and new retaining ring).
Thanks to ATRS for making this a reality. My only regret is not ordering a second lower.

Both are in 556 and ended up using a few parts I had lying around, others were bought from sponsors and a few off EE
